COMBAT ENGINEERING AND EOD BRANCH GENERAL SUPPORT ANALYST

Location: Primarily onboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. 22134.

Position Description:

Claxton Logistics Services LLC, a leader in the defense community, is looking for qualified, professional Combat Engineering and EOD Branch Support Analyst to join our Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD) Professional Support Services Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) team. The scope of this effort includes provisions for analytical, technical, and capability portfolio management support to the Combat Engineering and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Branch (EOD) Branch, Ground Combat Element Division – Force Protection (GCED-FP), Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD), Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps Combat Development and Integration (HQMC CD&I).

Primary Duties:

Combat Engineering and EOD Branch General Support. The emphasis of this requirement is to provide Combat Engineering and EOD technical support which is defined as analysis of requirements, resolution of issues, documentation, and recommendation; Combat Engineering and EOD military-based concepts; providing input and reviewing science and technology product; support for Service coordination for advanced technology demonstrations; and knowledge management support.

Support requirements include:

  • Domain Knowledge: Personnel should have a basic working knowledge of military warfighting and business functions. They should be familiar with basic Marine Corps missions, functions and organization. They should be experienced in locating and interpreting DoD, Joint, DON, and Marine Corps doctrine and policy.
  • CD&I Campaign of Learning and Capabilities Planning Processes: Personnel should have working knowledge of CD&I roles, responsibilities and internal processes that support PPBE, JCIDS, and DoD Acquisition. They should understand how CDD produces the Force Integration Plan and manages solution requirements for the Marine Corps. Personnel will require basic knowledge of Marine Corps Programming, Requirements Transition, Lessons Learned, Total Force Structure, and Universal Needs processes.
  • Research and Data Science: Personnel should have knowledge and experience in research, analysis, and interpretation of unstructured, semi-structured, and structured information, similar to the information resulting from Campaign of Learning events, e.g., wargames, studies, experiments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Core capabilities essential to performance also include coordinating and communicating with stakeholders, scheduling, and managing meetings and events, accurately capturing meeting records, and managing information.
  • Personnel must be able to obtain an Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) account.
  • Technical Performance: Personnel shall support the execution of these requirements, ensuring an applied understanding of the JCIDS process, Marine Corps CBA, Combat Engineering and EOD responsibilities, and related facets of processes executed by adjacent activities / stakeholders. Core capabilities essential to performance include working with stakeholders and interface with functional subject matter experts, and documentation of processes and deliverables.
  • Capability Portfolio Management Support: Personnel should have Capability Portfolio Management (CPM) understanding of analysis and development of documentation consistent with the development of a capability from its beginning to disposition. This is done through numerous processes that are both joint and service-specific: DAS, JCIDS, Test and Evaluation Process, Requirements Transition Process (RTP), and TFSMS Process, capability gap development, operational concept development, and Operational Mode Summaries and Mission Profiles (OMS/MP) development. Provide meeting support for integrated concept teams (ICT), integrated product teams (IPT) and its sub working groups that support CPM.

Education/Experience/Qualification:

  • Requires a BA/BS and 10-15 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the USMC, EOD, Engineer field. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Retired Field Grade Officer with Headquarters level experience preferred.
